Restaurant Publication Notes Growing Wave of Litigation in COVID-19 Claims

An article in Nation’s Restaurant News reports on the efforts by food service operators in gain insurance coverage of business interruption claims due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The wave of lawsuits allege that the restaurants’ insurance companies are compelled to follow through in paying these claims because they either do not have virus exclusions in their contracts or because the case for the virus exclusion is not strong enough.

Burn Bowen Bair LLP client Madison Sourdough is among the restaurants included in the article, which is available here.
