Firm partner Tim Burns has been selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America for 2026, while associates Morgan Stippel Johnson and Brian P. Cawley are honored on the list of the publication’s “Ones to Watch.”

Mr. Burns is recognized for his expertise in insurance law and insurance litigation. He leads a group of attorneys who have obtained more than $1 billion in settlements and judgments from the insurance industry in recent years. He has been selected to the Best Lawyers list annually since 2007.

Ms. Johnson is named to the Ones to Watch list for the second year based on her expertise in commercial litigation. She previously was recognized to the list in 2024.

Mr. Cawley is a first-time Ones to Watch honoree. He was singled out for his experience in insurance law.

Best Lawyers honorees are chosen based on peer nominations and feedback from other attorneys. The Ones to Watch list recognizes attorneys who have gained a reputation for excellence in the legal community in less than 10 years of practice.
